“Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” – Romans 12:2.

This verse has left an indelible seal on my soul and gives me a daily reminder of how I aspire to live my life.  When people begin to look at their lives through an infinite “Kingdom” focused lens, rather than an earthly lens that constantly needs re-focusing, everything changes.  Your purpose becomes more clear, your relationships take on new life and your life become more fulfilling and joyful.  I’ve lived life on both sides of this lens and I love to share my first hand account with others how to keep their lives “in focus” by not conforming to the patterns of this world.  As the late, great Wayne Dyer once said, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at begin to change.”

From my humble beginnings on a midwest farm in central Ohio, I’ve taken the life lessons from my storytelling “Papaw” (Grandfather) combined with my corporate career in Biotech, my entrepreneurial experience as both a business owner and a church planter and apply these experiences through a faith based lens to help others communicate in an authentic way to drive positive change in the world around them.

After being the first person in my blue collar family to graduate college, I spent my corporate career in Biotech where I led several product launches for genetic cancer therapies. One of those therapies was for brain cancer. It was here that I discovered the power of neuroscience and the fact that outside of academia, most people didn’t really understand how the brain actually worked, otherwise we wouldn’t communicate with each other the way we typically do.  This experience really cast an entirely new light on what I believe God means by the “be transformed by the renewing of your mind” portion of Romans 12:2.

So I’ve set out with a new mission, to teach others what I’ve learned about how we are all uniquely wired and how we can be better husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, children and friends, simply by applying these learnings in a simple and understandable way to be more impactful and purpose driven communicators.
