The Art and Science of Storytelling
with Jeff Bloomfield & #1 Hit Songwriter, Jimmy Yeary
Imagine your audience actively participating in this “masterclass” on storytelling with two of the world’s most impactful communicators! This session won’t just leave the audience with “inspiration”, it will give them tools for immediate “application!”
Stories are about connecting a listener with the emotion, visualization and relatability of their own life. When you feel a story, you see it. When you see a story, you tell it effectively. When you tell it effectively, it transports the listener into every detail…effectively making it their own story. Everyone’s life is a story that has been authentically felt and therefore can be drawn upon to utilize every emotionally valuable detail to move and inspire others.
Imagine having your audience experience the science behind effective storytelling and how to emotionally apply it in the moment in this “masterclass” keynote taught by Leading applied neuroscience researcher, Jeff Bloomfield and #1 hit songwriter, Jimmy Yeary (14 #1 hits by artists like Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flats, Lee Brice and many others!)
Jeff and Jimmy use their unique brand of authenticity and vulnerability with just the right amount of banter and humor to keep your audience fully immersed and completely engaged. Participants will leave this experience with a new framework for storytelling that far surpasses conventional story models of old.
Audience members will learn how to:
- Unleash the power of the story from their own journey
- Unravel the science behind how humans process stories in the brain
- Use your life’s unique journey to create “moments of connection” that will work both personally and professionally
- Leverage visual storytelling to remove barriers, reduce skepticism and open the listener up for new ideas and experiences
- Appropriately use vulnerability to “activate” trust in new relationships
- Create “situational” stories and understand how to communicate them the right way at the right time for the right person
- Apply Jeff & Jimmy’s unique storytelling framework that’s based on both the art and science of effective communication
Regardless of personality style or storytelling ability, participants will leave this program feeling more connected with themselves and those around them and walk away with new tools that will allow them to be an authentic, powerful, visual storytelling machine.

Today, in Nashville and Los Angeles, one of the most common calls in the music industry is from an artist’s representative to Sony Publishing requesting availability on songs from Jimmy Yeary’s catalog of music.
It’s not surprising. Jimmy has written more than two-thousand songs, many of which have been featured on albums selling millions of copies–Grammy winners, gold and platinum awards among them. 14 of Jimmy’s songs have been certified “Number 1” hits as singles by Billboard Magazine.
Both the CMA and ACM awarded Jimmy Yeary with “Song of the Year” for I Drive Your Truck–the inspiring song he wrote about the father of a fallen soldier and how he continues to remember his son. Jimmy’s most recent Number 1’s were Everything’s Gonna Be Alright, a song he wrote for Kenny Chesney and David Lee Murphy, and I Called Mama, a song he wrote for Tim McGraw.
He has also been called “one of the most engaging speakers in the country”. Jimmy takes the lessons he has learned and the experiences he has encountered in his music career and applies them to the process of creating results for businesses, organizations, and teams.
Facilitating growth while creating and maintaining significant relationships has become Jimmy’s trademark as a communicator. Emotional awareness, a greater understanding of other people, and the shared experiences that build an effective team herald the genius of Jimmy Yeary. Not only can he speak to who you are as an organization, he will put it to music!

From his humble beginnings on a midwestern farm in central Ohio, Jeff took the life lessons from his storytelling “Papaw” (Grandfather) combined with his corporate career in Biotech and Neuroscience to help people discover how they’re truly wired for greatness and how to communicate in an authentic way to drive positive change in the world around you.
To explain further, Jeff grew up on a 100-acre farm in North Central Ohio where his Papaw taught him the value of hard work, how to fix any problem with enough creativity and possibly a little duct tape, the platinum rule (treat others better than they expect to be treated) and that family matters more than anything else. After being the first person in his blue-collar family to graduate from college straight from high school, he spent his corporate career in Biotechnology where he led several product launches for genetic cancer therapies. One of those therapies was for brain cancer. It was here that Jeff discovered the power of neuroscience and the fact that very few in corporate America truly understood how the brain worked, otherwise they wouldn’t communicate with customers and employees the way you see in most environments.
From there, Jeff set out with a new mission, to teach others what he learned about the brain and how they can apply that information as professional communicators, particularly in leadership, sales, and marketing.
He has started and led two successful consulting and coaching companies, been a featured keynote speaker on stages around the world, written two best selling business books, been a contributor in major publications like Forbes, and one of the most viewed author/instructors on the entire Linkedin Learning platform.
But even now, as CEO of Braintrust, Jeff will tell you his most valuable lessons in life are still the ones he learned on the farm from his Papaw.
Jeff now spends the majority of his time speaking to organizations and conferences on the neuroscience of decision-making and how to build and deliver compelling messaging that creates instant trust, clear contrast and an urgency to change. Regardless of where you sit in the organization, Jeff’s message will not only resonate, but will leave you with an entirely new set of tools in your communication arsenal.
